Social Media raises €2,500 for charity
Tenego uses power of online votes to fundraise
Tenego Partnering, the international sales development arm for high tech companies, has proved the power of social media in raising much needed funds for local charities. During November, Tenego invited customers and associates to participate in a survey. For each person who completed the survey, Tenego donated €10 to charity.
Finally, the company asked people to designate their chosen recipient of the funds and a lucky five charities enjoyed a share of the €2,500 split between them. The five charities nominated and voted for were St Vincent de Paul which received €830, The Irish Cancer Society which received €520, Marymount Hospice €330, Barnardos €220 and finally but not least Temple Street Children’s Hospital which received €600.
Donagh Kiernan, Founder and CEO of Tenego Partnering, was very happy with the result. “The fund raise was publicised in order to raise awareness in the community of some great charities that we feel should be supported, and hopefully the awareness raised will lead to further donations.”
