Irish ‘Save a Horse’ app shortlisted for 2011 Best App Ever Awards in San Francisco

IHWT save a horse mobile appTipperary equestrian app company, Grey Horse Apps has been shortlisted for the 2011 ‘Best App Ever’ Awards.

The ‘Save a horse’ app, created by Grey Horse Apps to support the work of Ireland’s horse charity Irish Horse Welfare Trust, has been shortlisted from over 7,240 app nominations.

The app contains 17 topics including information aboutIreland’s only dedicated equine charity, videos, volunteering opportunities and fundraising; as well as useful information for horse owners, from nutrition tips to dental care.

The mobile app  can be shared on Twitter and Facebook. Donations to the IHWT can also be done directly from the application.

Previous winners include Angry Birds, Flipboard, Infinity Blade, Fruit Ninja and Instagram. Winners will be announced at Macworld / iWorld Expo 2012 inSan Francisco.
